Citizen Exceed
cal. 1730
Factory Spec. unknown
Thermoinsensitive: High Frequency (4 MHz)
User Adjustable: Yes
Not the infamous 'Crystron 4 Mega', but the much less well known 4 MHz Citizen Exceed. So little known, in fact, that I cannot find any documentation on it or any reference to its factory spec.. This watch was faulty when it arrived (I was fully aware of that fact before I acquired it) and I was very fortunate to find a watchmaker with vintage quartz expertise. He did an amazing job servicing this watch, but told me ultimately that its rate could not be further improved via the main trimmer. This appears to leave the watch stuck firmly in non-HAQ SPY territory. The rate appears to be set via a combination of two trimmers and a form of pattern-cutting. I am currently experimenting with the second trimmer to see if I can improve the rate.
