superior

Dating from the very first year in which Seiko produced these ground-breaking thermocompensated watches, this Superior was also one of the tightest-spec'd Seikos ever produced. This particular watch turns out not to be in original condition, as I had assumed. The bracelet is not a Seiko product and the case has had some minor refinishing (the sides are polished, whereas they should be brushed). Now that I have a second, more completely original Superior, this one is up for sale.

The frequency of the auxiliary oscillator is not known for sure, but based on a comparison of power requirements between the various Twin Quartz watches in my collection, I believe it is reasonable to assume that the frequency is 40 kHz.

Some details for this watch are missing because it has not completed comprehensive testing.
